30 – Get Well Soon!

Dear Lucy,

I was sorry to hear that you have been unwell of late as a result of a misdiagnosis of your whiplash injury from last year, and that being indoors for a lot of the time had missed the changing of the seasons that you so dearly love.

In the hope of cheering you up, Millie and I have collected you a bunch of Spring flowers. We hope you like them!

Millie thought you may like a yellow ribbon but I said you preferred blue.  In the end we decided to use both.

Get Well Soon!

Love M.M.

29 – Felis Onca and The Cheesy Socks

30b

Dear Lucy,

Sorry that it’s been a while since I last wrote, but I’ve not been able to get to a post box due to being unavoidably detained after agreeing to accompany my friend Henri on a wildlife photography trip to the Amazon Basin.

After a week of tracking urine sprays and tree scrapes, we finally found the illusive Felis Onca .  Unfortunately, whilst we were tracking him, the cheeky blighter circled back round and tracked us!

Seeking cover in a remote jungle cave we found ourselves holed up for several weeks after the fluffy beast took up residence as a doorstop outside our only exit.  Henri and I managed to survive on acai berries, vanilla pods and a pair of old socks discarded by some previous explorer.

On the upside we’ve returned with a plentiful supply of berries and have been whizzing up nutritious smoothies since our return.  On the downside, myself and Henri have been gargling constantly with minty mouthwash and still not rid the taste of cheesy socks from our palates.

Much love,

M.M.
